Down Payment Assistance

Nevada County's Health and Human Services Agency Division of Housing and Community Services now has funding to provide home ownership opportunities to first time home buyers.  The HOME First-time Homebuyers' (FTHB) Program provides low to moderate income residents who are first-time homebuyers the financial assistance needed to own a home in the unincorporated areas of Nevada County.

The HOME First-time Homebuyers' Program can provide down payment gap assistance to families who are first-time homebuyers.  A first-time homebuyer is an individual who has not owned a principle residence during the three years prior to the purchase of the property with the HOME loan.

Applicants must complete and submit an application, located in the link below, accompanied by a lender's prequalification letter.
