Ride Local, Give Local: Join Heart of Gold Gravel

Heart of Gold Gravel returns to Nevada City on Saturday, Oct. 18 and it's a gravel ride that’s as beautiful as it is meaningful. With routes ranging from 28 to 71 miles, the gravel, climbs, and community vibes are guaranteed. One-hundred percent of every dollar raised backs teen mental wellness programs across Nevada County.

This year’s ride starts and ends at Pioneer Park in Nevada City.  Sign up to ride or volunteer to set up and tear down the event, pass out water, check in participants and more.

Why Participate in Heart of Gold?

  • Deepen community impact: When locals ride or volunteer, it’s more than gravel—it’s our home, our youth, our neighbors.
  • Show up with hometown pride: Balance out the out-of-towners and lead the charge on the home turf.
  • Support local nonprofits: Funds go directly to nonprofits like Child Advocates of Nevada County, Bright Futures for Youth, Youth Bicyclists of Nevada County, and Heart of Gold Teen Therapy.
