Home Posted on July 10, 2025

Veterans and their families can access local and regional services during the much-anticipated Second Annual Nevada County Veteran’s Health and Wellness Fair to be held later this month.

The event is free to the public and will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 23 at the Grass Valley Veterans Hall at 255 S. Auburn St.

The Health and Wellness Fair is an opportunity for approximately 10,000 veterans, their families and survivors in Nevada County to tap into health services, veterans resources, housing services, benefit information, a job fair, therapy and treatment options, veterans’ groups, job opportunities, recreational programs and more.

The event features music, food, local veteran support organizations, businesses and vendors plus educational presentations.

“We decided to hold a community event for veterans, friends and family so they can come and get information from all the different service providers that are available to them in our area. Our goal is to ensure that every veteran has his or her family’s needs met across all aspects of human services. So please come on down. It’s free to everyone who shows up and we look forward to seeing you,” said Veterans Service Officer David West.

People interested in volunteering for the event or becoming a vendor, can inquire by email at ncvso@nevadacountyca.gov or call the Veterans Service Office at 530-273-3396.
