The Local Author Showcase provides an opportunity for readers and authors from Nevada County to connect with each other. From 11am to 12pm, Nevada County's Poet Laureate, Molly Fisk, will present an opening poem and brief reading in the Collaborative Technology Center classroom inside the Madelyn Helling Library. Ms. Fisk appears courtesy of the Nevada County Arts Council. For the rest of the hour, a panel of local authors will discuss being an author in Nevada County and what resources our community has to offer aspiring writers.
From 12pm to 2pm, the public is invited to join over 30 local authors in the Gene Albaugh Community Room. Enjoy free refreshments as you chat about books, inspiration, and the writing process. Nevada County authors of fiction and non-fiction for adults, young adults, and children will have copies of their books for sale.
