The Nevada County Planning Department invites you to join a conversation about park and recreation services in Nevada County on Sunday, September 22nd at the Madelyn Helling Library in the Gene Albaugh Community Room from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The County has partnered with Economic & Planning Systems, Inc. (EPS) to identify strategies to improve park and recreation services and facilities in the County.
The County and EPS wish to hear your thoughts about the successes and challenges of providing recreation services in your community. The County and EPS will consider your input while preparing a feasibility study to evaluate potential governance alternatives to provide park and recreation facilities and services in the western portion of the County. The study will provide the County, recreation providers, and stakeholders with a framework to consider the opportunities, constraints, and processes related to various governance alternatives. The study is intended to inform opportunities for a community-led approach to improve recreation services delivery in the western portion of the County.
