Nevada County Community Libraries are offering a variety of fun-filled events geared towards adults as part of the annual Summer Learning Program.
This year the library is presenting an innovative 3D Design Camp for adults that is scheduled for Tuesdays at the Madelyn Helling Library from June 11th to July 23rd and Truckee Library from July 30th to August 13th. Adults are invited to come and learn how to use the library's new 3D design software and equipment. Included in the camp is a special design day on June 27th with Makers from The Curious Forge with a follow up visit on July 3rd to demonstrate how to use and design with a laser cutter. Space is limited for this exciting library pop-up and reservations are required.
Stop by the library this summer for a fun round of Game Day that includes all time favorite board games, BINGO and library-generated literacy focused games. Grass Valley Library will offer the program on June 24th and July 17th from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., Madelyn Helling Library on June 10th and Truckee Library on June 15th.
In addition, the Grass Valley, Madelyn Helling, and Truckee Libraries are hosting Lazy Summer Reading days with lemonade and lounge chairs in their outdoor spaces where patrons are invited to grab a book, hangout, and just relax in the shade. Dates for lazy summer are June 19th and July 13th at the Grass Valley Library from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., June 28th and July 26th at the Madelyn Helling Library from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., and June 29th and July 19th at the Truckee Library from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
