[ARCHIVED] Community Yoga Returns July 5th!

NEVADA CITY, CA - The Madelyn Helling Library is excited to announce that community yoga class is returning on July 5, 2025. The class will take place every Saturday at 11 a.m. and, like all library programs, is free of charge to the community. 

This all-levels yoga class is open to participants ages 16 and up. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats and any additional props they may wish to use, such as yoga blankets or a towel, blocks and straps. A limited number of yoga mats and straps will be available for those who do not have their own. 

Community Yoga Class Details 

  • When: Saturdays at 11 a.m.
  • Where: Madelyn Helling Library, 980 Helling Way Nevada City
  • Audience: Ages 16 and up 


Meet the Instructor: Grace Kendrick 

The class will be taught by Grace Kendrick, a registered yoga teacher (e-RYT) and certified Ayurveda specialist (C.A.S.). Grace holds yoga certifications from the White Lotus Foundation, Whole Birth® Prenatal Yoga, and the Kundalini Research Institute (KRI). She has served on faculty at several yoga teacher trainings, including the MindBody Zone and Prenatal Kriya Yoga Teacher Training in the Bay Area, CA. Grace is a passionate advocate for using mindfulness to cultivate healthy family dynamics and has led wellness programs and retreats internationally. As the former owner of Grass Valley Yoga, Grace is well-known in the community for her dedication to promoting wellness. 

 In her own words, Grace shared her excitement about returning to the library to teach Yoga: “This community class is a refreshing reminder of the importance of our collective intentions and strength. It is so wonderful to gather together from all our different paths to breathe, stretch, and practice being present for ourselves and each other.”
