Learn about new ways to get active, improve your well-being and connect with local resources at Nevada County’s first Recreation Fair in Nevada City Saturday, May 3.
The free event, organized by the new Nevada County Recreation Coalition, runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bodhi Hive, 400 Providence Mine Road, Nevada City.
Explore interactive exhibits from top recreation organizers, youth sports clubs, summer camps, and stewardship groups. Learn how to stay active, healthy, and connected all year long, while discovering ways to protect and enjoy Nevada County’s beautiful natural spaces.
About 60 businesses and organizations are participating including Gold Country Climbing Gym, Nevada County roller skating, Gold Country Kook Sool Won, Camp Gold Hollow, Inn Town campground, Bear Yuba Land Trust, Sierra TrailBlazers Running Club, Penguins Swim Club, and Bicyclists of Nevada County. Gold Country Trails Council will be there with their horses educating about trail etiquettes, and Overland Canicross Club will be on-site to showcase training opportunities for outdoor adventures with your dog.
