After a 2-year hiatus, the County of Nevada and the United Way, in continuing a strong and enduring partnership, are pleased to announce this year’s Book Sale will begin in the lobby of the Eric Rood Administrative Center on Monday, October 17th and run through November 18th. The Book Sale will be open from 8-5 daily and is open to the public.
We are now accepting book donations from the community in the Human Resources Office (second floor of ERAC, Suite 260). Please drop off your books between 10-3 each day.
Please don’t bring these types of items as we cannot accept them:
- Magazines of any type
- Encyclopedias
- DVD’s or VHS tapes
- Outdated reference books
Community members wishing to help with the Book Sale are more than welcome!
Volunteer Opportunities Available:
Book sorters: Sort and organize books in HR’s conference room the week of October 10-15.
Book setters: Cart books down to the Lobby and set them out on tables Friday, October 14th, and Monday, October 18th (first day of book sale). Any amount of time you can help during 8-5 on those days (or a bit longer) is great!
Book monitors: During the book sale, monitor the lobby, help customers, restock books, and direct donors of books to HR for drop off. We are seeking volunteers from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. each day.
