[ARCHIVED] FEMA Mobile Registration Intake Centers for River Fire survivors to open Sept. 9-12

FEMA Mobile Registration Intake Centers for River Fire survivors to open Sept. 9-12

Placer and Nevada counties will continue their support for residents impacted by the River Fire with opportunities in both counties to connect with FEMA, CalOES and county representatives and apply for assistance.

FEMA's Mobile Registration Intake Center will open at the following locations:

Placer County Finance Administration Building (Auburn)
Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Chicago Park Elementary School
Sept. 10 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. and Sept. 11-12 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Sierra Vista Community Center (Colfax)
Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sept. 12 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Residents of either county may visit any of the centers for assistance.

FEMA’s individual assistance program provides grants and other support programs to help eligible survivors that may include rent, home repair, home replacement, and other disaster-related needs such as childcare, medical, and dental expenses.

Residents are encouraged to contact their insurance provider regarding their coverage as a first step in the recovery process. FEMA assistance can supplement losses denied by an insurance company, or for those who are underinsured or uninsured. CalOES and county representatives will be onsite to answer individual assistance and debris removal questions. Eligible residents have until Oct. 25 to apply for assistance.

River Fire recovery resources are also available on Placer and Nevada counties’ websites. Residents of both counties may also call 211 at 1-833-DIAL211 for the latest information and available resources to support their recovery.
