Proposed Project 

The Commons Resource Center will provide services to Nevada County residents, including residents of Brunswick Commons and community members who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. The property is located at 1103-1105 Sutton Way in Grass Valley and is contiguous to the newly completed Brunswick Commons affordable housing development. 
 
Commons Resource Center will include a variety of Services Including:  

  • Behavioral health services    
  • Legal support
  • Substance abuse assistance
  • Health care and wellness
  • Help signing up for public assistance benefits
  • Housing Assistance/Resources 
  • Nutrition Services 
  • A safe place to be during the day
  • Laundry
  • Showers

Partnership in Service 

When complete, the Commons Resource Center will be a productive place where homeless individuals and families can access services during the day. The Resource Center will be staffed with community providers and Nevada County Behavioral Health Staff who will work side-by-side to continue their partnership providing essential homeless services. There will be no overnight housing.

The Commons Resource Center will be staffed by Nevada County behavioral health employees and our non-profit partners to provide on-site services. Full-time on-site security will also be provided.
