“While participating in the Skill-Bridge program I was able to learn several different programs from the Human Resources department and overall hone my skills. I have worked as an ammo troop for the Air Force the last 4 years, which has been a great experience, but some of my training wasn’t as easily transferable for jobs outside the military. At the HR department, they were able to help me master different processes that they carry out and gain knowledge about the different departments/ opportunities in the county. Everyone was so willing to teach me and truly made me feel like part of the team. I feel more prepared now to separate from the Air Force and feel more enthusiastic on what the future holds. It was a pleasure participating in the Skill-Bridge program with Nevada County; I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.”
