Nevada County News - Engage with your local government from Nevada County CEO, Alison Lehman

The health and safety of our employees and our constituents is a top priority. We’ve seen our community step up and take precautions to help protect our community against coronavirus and COVID-19.

As a government agency, we recognize that we provide essential services such as law enforcement, wastewater, roads maintenance, transit, social services, behavioral health and public health services that can’t stop. We are working to provide all services possible by implementing telecommuting and teleconferencing for employees, while also putting the health and safety of our employees and residents first.

Stay well,
Alison Lehman, County Executive Officer

Governor Newsom Issues Stay at Home Order

This week Governor Newsom also announced the launch of a new Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) public awareness campaign to provide useful information to Californians and inform them of actions they can take to further prevent the spread of the virus. The campaign is anchored by a new, consumer-friendly website, www.covid19.ca.gov, that highlights critical steps people can take to stay healthy and resources available to Californians impacted by the outbreak, including paid sick leave and unemployment assistance.
