Rincon del RioThe proposed Rincon del Rio Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) (PDF) project has been approved by the Board of Supervisors.
Golden Oaks, Lodestar, Sunshine Valley Trail Easements (Emigrant Trail)
On August 26, 2014 the Board agreed once again to suspend public access across the easements; this time for two more years. This is intended to allow staff time to ensure a recreation provider is legally established, to move further along in the trail development process, and to develop the necessary environmental documents. However, the Board also agreed that it wants to see measurable progress by the homeowners to reach common ground and ultimately to create workable solutions in a collaborative manner with recreationists and with the County.
Cascade Crossing (Formerly Saddle Ridge Estates)
On June 14, 2012, the Nevada County Planning Commission approved a Map Amendment (AM11-002) to amend the previously approved Vesting Tentative Final Map (FM04-004), formerly known as Saddle Ridge Estates, to divide 30.89 acres into an 80-lot single family residential subdivision. The single-family lots range in size from 0.14 acres to 1.03 acres in size and are to be developed by the applicant. The subdivision includes a 2.5 acre parcel that will become a public park and other smaller parcels that will be developed with detention basins and a multi-purpose pedestrian pathway along Combie Road. The applicant has completed implementing their improvement plans and recording their amended map.
