The State of California has 4 stages of gradual reopening:

  Stage 3 businesses in Nevada County may reopen with modifications. 

View Nevada County’s Reopen Plan for details on which business industries are included in Stage 3 and reopening dates.

Steps to Prepare for Reopening

1. Check California’s Resilience Roadmap to determine what stage your business can open in. 

2. Have a COVID-19 prevention plan in place before opening. See resources in the tabs below for information by specific industry. County staff is working with local businesses to help create these plans. 

3. Use the Healthy Tool Kit for visuals and signs that can help educate your customers on best practices that will keep your business safe and healthy

Nevada County has hosted two Stage 3 Business Guidance Workshops to provide support and answer questions for Stage 3 businesses. Find the meeting notes, Zoom meeting chat and breakout room videos focused on gyms, campgrounds/RV parks, wineries and bars, day camps and child care, hotels and short-term-rentals (STRs) and personal services (such as hair or nail salons, facials, tattoo parlors, etc.).

PLEASE NOTE 

  • The Public Health Department was notified by the state on 6/24 regarding guidance on athletic conditioning and drills related to team sports. Although the state previously stated that drill were allowable with modifications, they have now notified us that this was in error.
  • At this time, per the state, no recreational team sports are permitted. This applies to both youth and adult team sports – neither are permitted at this time.
